22 silvers this year. A bit of a disappointment, as I put in the hours for about 30-35. Usually the excuse that I don’t get out enough is genuine, but stats are just down this year. While I did hunt alot of fields, it was the traditional more modern silver sites that were not giving up the goods.
I did find a couple of nice coins that made my best finds list, both in fields, a decent bust half dollar and seated half dime.

I got a Nox which I didn’t really like, so I kept with the E-Trac; its a real workhorse, but it is heavy, the buttons are starting to stick, and it is over 10 years old. Found about 1400 silvers with it, tho.
So I need an upgrade, and rather than fight with the Nox, decided to treat myself to the new Deus II. Not sure when I will get it.
I think making goals for the year is a bit silly, especially for this sort of hobby, so how about “get out as much as possible” and “learn the Deus II”.
We’ll see. Happy hunting out there.
