Mapsurfer's Carcassone Recipe

Carcassone, when it came out, was a masterpiece of a game, as were a few of the early expansion sets. Unfortunately, like many wonderful things, the big rule change regarding the farms, and some bizarre, and quite frankly lame, expansions diluted it.

I stuck with the original, and mixed in all the good parts that came after, while discarding the cruft, and ended up with a long and baroque game, but one that is recognizable as the original game, albeit with quite a bit of spice.

Here it is, FWIW, my own bizarre Carcassone house rules.

The next step is to create some tiles. I have some good ideas, but not the time. I will post them here and in the rules when I get to it.
